Freshwater fisheries Act
Adopted in 1954, freshwater fisheries Act is a piece of legislation with 11 sections which protects and regulates water fishing in the country, including establishing offences and penalties. FunctionThe law prohibits the use of explosives, gift and electricity, when fishing in the Sudan. In addition, persons may introduce new species of fish in Sudan waters without permission of the Minister of agriculture, food and Resource.TypesThe law requires people to have licenses for fish and your boat. Licenses must be renewed every year, in addition to pay, that the prescribed fee and by the Minister of agriculture, food and Resource.ConsiderationsOffenders can be pursued summarily or trial version. Criminals can use up to six months in prison and the loss of face your licenses.
